Concerns We Support
Skin Comfort & Radiance
Herbal lepams, ubtan baths and Ayurvedic facials: traditional care to soothe irritated skin and restore its glow.
Skin here lives between extremes: fierce sun outside, dry conditioned air inside, hard water in every shower. It answers with dullness, dryness, irritation and flare-ups of itchy, flaky patches that calm and return in cycles.
Ayurvedic skin care is herbal, unhurried and external-plus-internal: pastes and baths that soothe the surface, alongside food and routine adjustments for the heat the skin is expressing. At 22 Ayur these come as individual therapies or as courses for skin that needs sustained attention.
Skin as the body's messenger
In Ayurvedic reading, skin flare-ups usually carry a Pitta signature: accumulated heat surfacing where the body can show it. Dry, rough, thin-feeling skin speaks of Vata; congested, oily dullness of Kapha. The same rash-prone skin that flares with spice, sun and stress is the textbook Pitta picture.
Care therefore cools and cleanses rather than scrubs and strips: medicated pastes, gentle herbal baths, and food guidance that turns down internal heat.
The herbal skin repertoire
Lepanam applies freshly ground medicated pastes to affected areas and is traditionally used to soothe irritated, flaky or itchy skin. Kaya Lepan extends the paste principle to the full body as a wrap. The ubtan baths, Turmeric, Floral, and Milk & Honey, cleanse and soften with classical ingredients, and Mukhabhyangam, the Ayurvedic facial, works the face with marma-point massage and herbal preparations. Soundarya Vardhini is the signature radiance ritual for skin that has gone dull rather than reactive.
Courses matter for reactive skin: single sessions refresh, repetition retrains. Persistent or spreading skin conditions should also be seen by a dermatologist; our care soothes and supports alongside medical treatment.
A note on homeopathy
Recurring skin patterns such as eczema-type irritation, urticaria and acne are core homeopathy territory: a detailed consultation traces triggers and history before remedies are matched, alongside any dermatological care you receive.

Important to know
22 Ayur is a wellness clinic, not a hospital. Our therapies offer traditional, supportive care; they do not diagnose, cure or replace medical treatment, and we will always encourage you to see a medical doctor for diagnosed conditions, severe symptoms or anything sudden and unexplained. Every plan starts with an assessment, and our practitioners will tell you plainly what our care can and cannot do for your situation.

Can you treat my eczema or psoriasis?
Diagnosed skin conditions stay under your dermatologist's care. Our herbal therapies are traditionally used to soothe irritated, flaky or itchy skin and many guests with sensitive, flare-prone skin find them genuinely calming as supportive care. We avoid strong actives and work gently.
Are the pastes made fresh?
Yes. Lepams and ubtans are prepared for each session from herbal ingredients matched to your skin's current state, which is why the assessment matters before the first application.
How is Mukhabhyangam different from a salon facial?
No steam-and-extract routine and no strong actives. It is a massage-led facial working the face's marma points with herbal preparations, aimed at circulation and calm rather than aggressive resurfacing.
