Siro Vasti
A leather cap filled with warm medicated oil sits atop your head, bathing the scalp and skull in a deep reservoir of herbal healing.
Siro Vasti is a unique Ayurvedic therapy in which a specially constructed leather cap is fitted around the head and sealed with dough. Warm, medicated oil is then poured into the cap, creating a pool of therapeutic oil that remains in contact with the scalp and crown for 30-45 minutes. In Ayurvedic tradition, the head is considered Uttamanga, the supreme organ of the body. Siro Vasti nourishes the brain, cranial nerves, and sensory organs by allowing medicated oil to soak through the scalp and the fontanelle region. It is one of the most powerful treatments for severe Vata disorders affecting the head and nervous system. The experience begins with the therapist carefully fitting and sealing the leather cap to your head. As the warm oil fills the cap, you feel a comforting heaviness and warmth enveloping the crown. This sensation deepens over the session as the oil works its way through the scalp. The treatment is profoundly calming, and many clients experience a remarkable clarity and lightness afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions
The leather cap is carefully sealed to prevent leakage. While some oil may need to be cleaned from the hair afterward, the process is well-contained. We provide a comfortable post-treatment cleanup.
Shirodhara involves a flowing stream of oil over the forehead, while Siro Vasti pools warm oil on top of the head. Siro Vasti is more intensive and is typically prescribed for more severe conditions like chronic migraines, neurological disorders, or facial paralysis.
Siro Vasti is not recommended during fever, acute sinusitis, or immediately after meals. It should be performed under professional supervision as the duration of oil retention must be carefully monitored.
