Avagaham
A warm herbal bath where your body soaks in a medicated decoction, melting away pain and tension from the inside out.
Avagaham is a traditional Ayurvedic immersion therapy where the patient sits in a bathtub or tub filled with warm, medicated herbal decoction. The entire lower body is submerged, allowing the skin to absorb the therapeutic properties of the herbs while the warmth promotes circulation and muscle relaxation. This treatment is rooted in the Ayurvedic concept of Parisheka and Avagaha Sweda, forms of sudation therapy that use medicated liquid immersion. The herbal decoction is prepared using specific herbs tailored to the condition, such as Dashamula for pain, Triphala for detoxification, or Neem for skin conditions. The sustained immersion allows for deep tissue absorption. As you lower yourself into the warm, aromatic herbal bath, you feel the tension dissolving instantly. The warmth wraps around your lower body like a healing embrace, and the herbal fragrance fills the air. The experience is deeply grounding, and the therapeutic effects continue long after you step out of the bath.
